FLAME SPRAYING Through flame spraying the coating material is molten in an
oxy-fuel gas flame. With the velocity of the gas jet the spraying particles are shot onto
the component's surface. The fuel gas is usually acetylene or propane.
The coating
material is either in wire or in powder form. Some coating materials can produce
very
adherent coatings that are gas and liquid proof when additionally fused. |
