Environmental protection

Thermal spraying processes mainly work with gases extracted from the ambient air (chiefly nitrogen and oxygen) as well as compressed air. Gases and coating materials not deposited on the component are painstakingly filtered and recycled, and all harmful emissions are minimized. The production facilities are soundproofed, making for a safe working environment.

Thermal spray coatings significantly extend the lifetime of components, which in turn helps conserve natural resources. Furthermore, the possibility of repairing previously coated components by recoating them reduces operating costs and cuts the consumption of materials and energy needed for production.

Putzier’s environmental activities are a cornerstone of its integrated quality management system, which is DIN EN ISO 14001 certified.
